You would have to be a rabid Microsoft fan or else have a wallet as big as Bill Gate’s not to be grateful to receive a shiny new PS3 as a Father’s Day gift. But does it make sense to buy your dad, husband, or son-in-law a PlayStation 3 with so many changes on the way? Well, with the buzz of E3 officially gone-by, it’s safe to say that the hardware out now won’t become obsolete anytime soon. On the other hand, it really depends on what content Dad is hankering to get his hands on. Along with the standard PlayStation Move bundle that will turn your PS3 into a Wii-like interactive experience, Sony will also be launching a hardware package that includes the same motion controller, Eye Camera, Sports Champions game and Move demo disc as well as the full PS3 system for just $50 more than the current price of just the system alone. That’s a lot of gaming goodness for $400. Maybe a promissory note or gift card is the best bet for Dad.
The Playstation Move comes out in September.
